Changes to collection days in the Harrogate area

To ensure our waste and recycling service remains as efficient as possible, and provide a consistent approach across North Yorkshire, we are making some improvements to our collections in the Harrogate area in the coming weeks. 

They will now take place between Tuesdays and Fridays, which will allow us to provide a more reliable service and also reduce the need for bank holiday disruptions, providing a more consistent service.

As a result, the majority of residents in what was the Harrogate borough will receive a letter in the coming days explaining what their new collection day will be for both rubbish and recycling from the week commencing Monday 21 April. 

The letter also provides further details about how to check collection days, what time rubbish or recycling should be presented, and what they can do if they need any further information.

Prior to the week of the changes, we will also text residents (for those who we have contact information for) to ensure they are aware of their next collection.
