What does Killinghall Parish council do?

The Council represents the community in matters affecting the parish.

This includes:
  • Liaising with Harrogate Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council on various matters (e.g. highways, footpaths, transport)
  • Commenting on planning applications
  • Responding to consultations

The Council maintains and improves parish owned property.

This includes:
  • Contracting the grass cutting.
  • Looking after the benches and notice boards.
  • Maintaining our recreation area called The Glebe. This space is owned by the Parish Council and they deal with the maintenance of the equipment and the grounds.

The Council also supports local community groups and events.
