New storytimes for under fives

Help your youngsters to discover a love of reading and join us at our new storytimes for under fives.

The sessions will include stories, a craft, and the chance to choose books to take home. The sessions are free,  full of interactive fun, and will finish in time to collect older children.

Join us on the following Monday afternoons at 2.30pm

23rd September, 30th September, 7th October, 21st October at 2.30pm.

 

Home Library Service

Do you struggle to visit the library or carry books home?

If you live in the Nidderdale Area and find it difficult to visit the library for health or due to carer responsibilities we can help. Our Home Library service volunteers will bring books to your house once a fortnight and return your library books to the library. It’s a completely free service and quick and easy to set up. New Books

We get a delivery of new books every week, we can also help you to order specific titles at a bargain cost of £1 per title. We have a huge range of titles available including large print and audio books on CD.

 

Online resources including newspapers, magazines, e-books and e-audiobooks are free with your library card.

BFI Replay

BFI Reply is a new, free-to-access, digital archive from the British Film Institute, exclusively available in UK public lending libraries. The content uncovers stories from across the UK, its history and its people. Vividly captured in over 60 years of film, television and video from all corners of the UK - what we, our parents and carers, grandparents and communities watched.

This resource needs to be used in a library. You can access it by clicking on the BFI Replay icon on the desktop at Nidderdale Plus Library.

 

Nidderdale Plus Library is open Monday 10-5, Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 10-4, Thursday 10-4, Friday 10-4, Saturday 10-1 and Sunday 10-1 (summer-time and 10-11 in the winter).

Nidderdale Plus Library has free wifi and computers available.
