We are pleased to announce that the repair scheme, following the landslip on the A59 at Kex Gill, is almost complete.
We have installed 85 metres of steel sheets – known as piles – to create the structural wall required, along with reconstructing the embankment and carriageway sub-base. From Monday, we will be carrying out the resurfacing of the area affected.
At the moment, we are about a week ahead of schedule which means we are aiming to reopen the road by the end of next week.
