Kex Gill update - 03.06.24

Published: 09 June 2024

Work is still progressing well on-site, and we have installed the full 85 metres of steel sheets – known as piles – to create the structural wall required (as shown below).

Work is now underway to reconstruct the carriageway behind the newly installed sheet piles, along with drainage works and the relocation of telephone cables.

We would like to thank you once again for your patience and reiterate that we are doing all we can to complete the repair as quickly and safely as possible.

We still anticipate the road to reopen before the end of June.
